Manchester United second best club in Manchester
The emergence of the "noisy neighbors"
Flashback to the 2012/2013 season commentators where quick to play down a regime change with this looking like a ever increasing reality due to City's complete dominance of the league in the 2017/2018 season. If history is anything to go by, this time next season we would be looking at a new champion as last season Chelsea similarly steam rolled it's opposition on its way to the title. Pep though, boast a far deadlier arsenal of weapons. . . . and I don't mean Arsenal the football club. (8-2) *cough*. With players like Sterling having the best season of his career, and world class beaters like Silva and KDB pulling the strings, supplemented by lightening quick German Winger Sane, and Portugal 's Bernardo Silva, City has what it takes to dominate for some time. Pep has infused his imprint on this side as seen by the way they play ball; Players always eager to run into space mixed with intricate one two passes.
How it started?
It all started when City tipped United to the league title in the 2012/2013 season on goal difference. That day Aguero put his name in City history and sealed his legendary status around the Ethiad. That season they were good this season they are in a whole new stratosphere.
Sir Alex later said he saw it coming after total dominance of the league for twenty-six years.
But just like Chelsea was lambasted for its heavy spending a few year early so was City for its unprecedented amounts of money in player acquisitions. According to Dailymail Sheik Mansour has spent 719.1 million by the time Sterling was sign for then club record 49 Million.
Present day United 2018
United have a perfectly respectable number of points for this stage of the season (65) with City miles away. United have scored 39 goals, at an average better than two a game, yet City are averaging better than three.
While there have been signs that Mourinho realizes he is in a fight he cannot win, he will never admit this , he knows United to have dipped in their pockets as seen by spending close to 600 million on 22 players since Fergie left according to The Sun. With flops like Di Maria and Mkhitayran costing close to 100 million, its easy to see how money does always buy happiness. Being second is know easy fix for the United dressing room. Mourinho alone has spent close to 300 million trying to keep up with City in the transfer market United are second place. In truth only his first season, Paul Pogba was suppose to dominate teams like he did back in Turin and sure we have seen glimpses of it but with that amount of money spent the pressure was always going to be high from the offset. Another player who is yet to gain form is the newly arrived Sanchez who by his standards has only one strike to his United career surely not figures you want from a team aiming to be first in Manchester. Manchester like the rest of the chasing pack have alot to do to ensure it doesn't turn into a one team league like Juventus in Serie A .

So much info on this blog, wow
