| Son Strikes yet again |
With two double strikes in Spurs last two matches his rise provides Spurs with another shinning star to admire besides Harry Kane ; to bad its not the winners medal come May! With Champions League and a top 4 spot still to play for the Spurs massive will feel assured they have enough fire power to claim a spot, although I personally think Chelsea will pick themselves up, especially after seeing the displays of the equally impressive Willian.
His man of the match display last weekend attracted huge plaudits, just as much as much as his performance in the fifth-round of the F.A Cup round where he was also on target. The Spurs hierarchy will be wise to put pen to paper on a new deal to ward off interest from European giants such as PSG who was the last to inquire.
Life wasn't always so sweet in White Hart Lane but it could be fitting to dub him the "Wemebly child" as he came to life with the long talked about and very present new home of the Spurs faithful. 2015/2016 saw him score only 4 goals in 28 appearances, but that was on his debut in the premiership and few could hold a grudge on his performances as he did show glimpses of what was to come in the Europa League where he netted 3 times while assisting the same.
Most blamed his slender frame which was not suited to the athletes that now belt down the flanks at speeds close to track star times.
Fast-forward 2018 and although not the most imposing of attackers Son has surely packed on a few pounds and is benefiting from peak fitness levels, this boy just keeps running seemingly able to run another 90 minutes after playing a game.
Possible Kane & Son departure
The South Korean must be monitored carefully especially with Kane increasingly looking towards Madrid's stare, could Son further improve and eventually even play a more pivotal role in Kane's absence? Few would disagree with this statement as his desire and natural instinct is not something that comes cheap on the transfer market. According to The Sun, they reported that by law all men have to serve 21 months in the Army before they reach 28, Son is 25, that leaves Spurs Boss Pochettino with a small headache. His only way out is a pardon if he leads his country to victory in a major tournament but most would agree even this must be beyond him. Some men even have surgery to weaken body parts so they can't serve........ WOW! For the most part this service is seen as a proud moment in many males lives and some have been shunned for not fulfilling this law. If Spurs do lose Kane and Son they will surely have a hard time filling those massive goal-scoring boots.
