Another one who received mentorship from the Southhampton academy, Alex Oxlade Chamerlain. Southhampton is credited for producing talents such as Victor Wanyama, Ward-Prowse, and Clyne. Eventually in 2011 Oxlade made the big switch to Arsenal FC where he stayed and further developed for the next six years winning three F.A cups.Presently he plays for Liverpool FC where he has finally found he place. Life at Anfield started just as it had at Arsenal, slow and unassured. Eventually, after playing an energetic direct style of football, showing his ability to drive the midfield forward with great effect, he is now described as a " Big Gun". Next season's opposition will be fully aware and for this reason he has to raise his game even higher! Imagine his signing was met with doubt at first! Thankfully this was quickly dispelled after his superb strike against City earlier this year. He is naturally gifted with excellent foresight that allows him to pick a pass, mixed with an aggressive off-ball work ethic. It's easy to see why he is developing into one of the first names on the team sheet. He's the guy that puts pressure on opposition at every opportunity thus giving others, like Salah, space to deal lethal blows.
This performance shows a more developed player than when he was under Wenger, hence it is sad that Arsenal fans couldn't be treated to this week in week out, but great for Anfield supporters who have another young English talent in the making.
World Cup Dream
Flash back 2014 before Ox was injured during the lead up to the World Cup 2014 in a friendly versus Ecuador. He was part of the new young generation of talent such as Sterling, Lambert, Barkley and Smalling. Although he didn't recover in time to make it on the plane, he gave a clear indication of his direct running against Bayern Munich in the champions league, a match they went on to lose however. He dribbled past more than three players, now if that isn't Messi-esque, I don't know is! Chamerlain has always been a dynamic counter- attacker but not a goal scorer. This aspect is only now developing under Klopp with great effect as he looks poised to take the world by storm this summer and beyond.
After suffering a knee injury against Barcalona in May 2016 ironically, he again couldn't be present for the World Cup tournament that followed.

Yeah, I think he'll get the development he needs under Klopp. He has already scored some fine goals!
