Where Do Arsenal Go From Here

Average players expected to do a world class job

Callum Chambers

Early on he was an exciting youth prospect, quickly rising from Southampton U18 to Arsenal 1st team from 2012-2014. As far as trust is concern. Chambers receives little and was not included in the squad until matchday 17 when he was on the bench against West Ham in that 0-0 stalemate away from
PL

Nacho Monreal

Not a decorated youth player and started off with Osuasuna before eventually securing a transfer from Malaga Fc to Arsenal back in 2013. Fast-foward to 2018 while he has gotten better one wonders if its just a matter of the options available to Arsene are not as strong as years gone by when he had Gallas, Cole and Thuram to summon. Coupled by loses to Spurs the new kings of London and a blitz from the Swans which he played the full 90 minutes and the fact he is 32 suggest he will never it the same heights as some of his compatriots like Pique.

Alex Iwobi

Came threw the youth ranks and made it to the first team. This is Wenger's model, youth is typically trusted and given a chance to shine. He typically operates anywhere in the attacking third LW, RW and AM with two goals and three assist in nineteen appearance this term is hardly a indication of world class. He is still young but you get the feeling further development will only be achieved elsewhere. That being said one wonders if this is another Jack Wiltshire!

Danny Welbeck

Plagued by injuries since 14M move from Manchester United in 2014.
five goals in 25 appearances for 2018 while a host of other names from Lucas, Walcott and Costa Rican star Campbell have bearly been given a look in. When Wenger was clearing out the trash he clearly forgot Welbeck.

Arsene Wenger needs to go?

Sentiments which have been heard all around the Emrites for some time now.
Ian Wight in an interview with Goal.com lamented back when Arsenal lost to perennial powerhouse Bayern Munich 10-2 on aggregate in the Champion League round of sixteen that "the future looks dark for Arsenal". Every season Arsenal's team display plummets with a series of indifferent results usually back to back. This season has been no different with a string of bad performances such as draws with bottom of the table West Brom loses to Bournmouth, Brighton & Hove and Spurs.

Wenger's men are close to being considered title contenders as a result his job looks increasingly secure with Arsenal's progress in Europa this term coming as the only positive to hang on in a rather lacklustre season. Atletico Madrid who dismantled A.C in the previous fixture are considered favorites and a final match up will push Arsene's expiration date.

Look to the future....
